Hair Loss Clinics By Natasha Mehra of Cashsee.com
No doubt you've come across the marketing and advertising for the hair loss clinics
you see sprouting up across the country. Its almost a fashion in itself to be associated with
these baldness/thinning clinics, but I guess what we all want to know, is how can they help me with
regrowth? What is the cost/benefit ratio? and, What are the drawbacks with going down this path?
Such names of clinics include Clive Clinics and Advanced Studio.
Of the many clinics out there, you will find that roughly 90% follow the same sort of structure in
order to try and resolve your loss problem and promote desirable regrowth. You will be offered
a free or low cost consultation, they will display a series of methods and suggestions (usually
hair loss creams/pills and laser treatment) after looking over your hair/baldness or thinning
patches, and then demonstrate several cases to you of post-bald celebrities who claim to have
luscious and full after going through the treatment. Then, after all this, comes the true
bombshells of the process!
1) Cost
2) The disclaimer! "Actual results will vary on individuals"
As far as cost goes, be aware it runs deep into the thousands to run a full course of these clinic
treatments. Its not uncommon to be charged upwards of $5000 for a 6 month course, often more, as
the clinics like you to go for 12 or 18 months to try and improve results. So, you can quickly see
why its not for everyone! It makes many products seem like absolute drops in the ocean in
comparison (see our review page for examples to try).
It pays to be aware, that in most cases of loss, results will always vary. What we recommend
you ask your consultant, is for proof of the actual amount of customers who have walked away
satisfied with their treatment. Please avoid taking their word for it, as unfortunately a lot of
these operators will fudge results to sign you up, and badger your to keep going with the procedures
in order to make more money out of you, often in the face of very limited or no tangible results.
In a lot of cases, as has been exposed on TV and in magazine articles over the last couple of
years, the only actual beneficial product the clinics will give you, is the rogaine, propecia or
minoxidol. All the other peripheral products and treatments are merely and excuse to charge a lot
more than you would pay for the medication. Such procedures include stimulating lights/lasers,
electro combs, massages, shampoos, head vibrators and similar.
Like anything you buy or try, it always pays to remember the age old adage "Cavaet Emptor" or
Buyer Beware! Do some preliminary research before you commit and don't be afraid to ask the hard
questions!
